Coventry & District Walking Football Club and Atherstone Walking Football Club are thrilled to announce the inaugural Walking Football Festive Charity Tournament!
Date: Friday, 12th December
Time: 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Venue: Alan Higgs Centre, Allard Way, Coventry (Indoor 3G Pitch)
This special event kicks off what we hope will become an annual tradition. In the true spirit of the festive season - a time that means so much for children - all funds raised will go to a local children’s charity.
For 2025, we’re proud to support Zoe’s Place Coventry, a baby hospice providing care for infants and young children (birth to age five) with complex illnesses or disabilities. Their mission is to give these children the best possible quality of life while supporting their families.
Teams Competing: Coventry, Atherstone, Stratford, and Wolston
Matches will follow a round-robin format, with the winners taking home a commemorative shield - an accolade to be contested annually!
Each team will contribute £100 in match fees, and thanks to the generosity of the Alan Higgs Centre (providing the venue free of charge), 100% of these fees will go directly to Zoe’s Place.
This event is jointly organised by Ray Lewis (Coventry & District WFC) and Richard Parker (Chairman of Atherstone WFC), with special thanks to the Alan Higgs Centre, Coventry & District WFC officials, and volunteer referees Russ Watkin and Colin Farmer.
Spectators are warmly invited! Come along, cheer for your team, and be part of a fantastic day of football and community spirit.
Let’s make a difference together this Christmas!
