Tim Tyler received 2 England caps for managing the England over 65’s in two tournaments over the summer this year. England chairman Brendan Maxwell presented Tim with his 2 caps.
England were looking for an interim manager for these tournaments and approached Tim. He jumped at the chance and Tim commented: “Although I was thrown into the deep end, it was a great experience and an honour. However, as with all footballers I would like to represent my country one day by playing – which I’m still working towards - you’ve got to dream!”
Tim was asked to support and manage the England 65’s squad at 2 tournaments: The Caribbean Nations Cup on 20th July in London and the Maureen Evan’s International Memorial Cup on 24th August in Neath Wales.
At the Maureen International Cup, Tim commented that the team performed extremely well and finished runners up in the group stage and he was proud of their achievement and his involvement.
